good breakfast beer?

Post by DeeboCools »

Not gonna lie, All I did when I started drinking was Drink Liquor and talk shit about beer. It tasted awful to me. You can probably find some stupid posts by me about that very subject. Early on, between s.ober and beer drinking I'd pick s.ober(ridiculous I know).

Bur of course time went on and I revisited my old foe. I didn't usually like beer, but there were 2 times when I really did- As a chaser for brown liquor, and first thing in the morning during a hangover. I was esspecially surprised about the last one, but I guess it's the combination of minor nutrition and minor alcohol content that keep the heebie-geebies away.

So, entertainment over. I had a PBR for breakfast yesterday, a can of Steel reserve today, and I bought a 12pk of miller highlife, one(maybe 2) of which I will enjoy tomorrow morning. I only bought the high-life for price, but it seems acceptable.

What's your favorite beer for breakfast?

I've had good success with fruit beers. Something sweet that has fruit on the label is good to trick you into thinking this is as good as dirnking real fruit juice.
Also, some wits, hefewizens, strong Belgian ales could be good as they're citrusy, fruity and may also trick you.

Failing this, anything really malty. I've found bitter beers suck in the morning.

Well, I guess they did drink beer for breakfast back in Europe in Ancient times, mostly because the water would kill you.

Not my style but I'd say any really good dark beer, like Guinness. Not too strong to make it impossible for you to work but good enough to get your ass in gear.

I would say a Hefenweizen or a Cider.

Guinness may work but I find its best after 10:00 for some reason. Can't explain it, it just is.

looks like I have a wide range of answers. As I'm enjoying one now, I think the answer is any beer.

I can read on the label... ""...stout, brewed with coffee, 7.5% alcohol by volume..."

Fuck yeah. reminds me of "mud and suds", what truckers apparently drink(or did drink, before methamphetamine took off), 1 part beer to 1 part coffee. Though brewing it with coffee would yield better results than just mixing I'm sure.

If I'm going to drink early in the morning, a shot of Beam or Jameson's in my coffee hits the spot. No beer till the sun comes up.
