Brunck drinks shouldn't be sweet IMHO. Champagne is the perfect brunch drink, or prosecco, or cava, or any french cremant.

The book, The Right Drink for Every Situation, somewhat whimsical, claims the Manhattan is the right drink for drinking alone. The only variation they mention is to use dry vermouth in addition to sweet vermouth, which they call the Perfect Manhattan:

2.25 oz bourbon or rye
.5 oz dry vermouth
.5 oz sweet vermouth
long dash Angostura Bitters

Stit with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass
Garnish with lemon peel

It's impossible to buy enough, because no amount is ever enough.

Champagne is always sweet, no matter how dry it claims itself to be.

I have tried, oh believe me, I have tried. But somehow, supplies always fall short of demand.

It's an opposite martini: instead of gin use burbin, instead of dry vermouth use sweet and instead of an olive use a cherry. Boom, a Manhattan. Aslo insteed of spelling correctly use a dictionary... fuck it, it 3am.

Although I mostly agree with the Perfect Manhattan recipe, a "long" dash of bitters is too much, IMO. You only need a few drops.

How 'bout some Southern Comfort and Ameretto? A plumb instead of a cherry? A wine flute instead of that yucky martini or highball glass, since a Manhatten isn't really a highball, is it, darling?

You retards are fucking adorable.

Bourbon, sweet vermouth, orange bitters? Sorry. Sounds like my favorite quaff in the heat of the summer. Except I add a slash of maraschino.
