Wow, it has been a hell of a good time.
Off to the Indonesian embassy and then for a late lunch with Bundy (hopefully).
Damn, I am so going to miss the Gin Goddess of the South Seas!
It only makes sense that she is going back to where I came from (roughly).
So my dear friends, I am back off to Sumatra, where I can drink palmwine and be a crazy man (but can no longer access these boards care of Al Haji!!).
But it will never be the same hanging in this slice of "civilization" without my sister Gin!
Bittersweet to say the least!

There are rumors that She may make a stop in Sumatra in December before heading off to other parts.
Encourage her and we shall see.

Yes, and don't get me started on everything that is going on here in the U.S. - but keeping only to the restrictions placed on you, to our detriment - the Orwellian named bills "Net Neutrality", "Fairness Doctrine" that threaten our very first amendment right to free speech and assembly. At the very least, the federal government hasn't yet started jailing those of us who speak up, nor have they instituted widespread bans on internet usage and talk radio. Yet. Read the bills.

The thing is, we still have fight in us here. We will NOT allow a resurrection of George III. No matter what the price we must pay. I feel for those who speak for freedom and are subject to extremely harsh physical, mental, emotional and financial torment only because they speak on behalf of freedom for the citizens of the country in which he lives.

Readers' Digest version of what a mystery it is to me, short of service in the military, is why would people voluntarily locate to places where they know their freedoms would immediately be limited and possibly be further repressed.

I don't get it. I don't get people leaving a free society to go live in a not as free society. To each his own.

There is no way I could convince you that I love where I live and that in so many ways I feel MORE free than I did back home.

I be craving me some Shiner right about now, after a long night of hanging with Mrs. Palmy and assorted sleazy people at the local bar/rental shop!
But sushi and Bintang after a nice Long Island will do me just fine later this afternoon.
