Deaths Door gin - as something of a minimalist I was drawn to the idea of making gin with just 3 botanicals, and it absolutely works. Breaking gin down to just the three main flavours that actually come through, then getting them perfectly balanced. If it wasn't so expensive I'd never drink anything else. And it's American to boot, will wonders never cease!

Bulleit 750. Neither proud nor shamed. It was on sale at my locale for 21.99. They have stopped carrying Evan. The gent said it didn't sell. McCormick is what they want now. Deteriorating economy, he said. Bulleit is like your brother-in -law's loaned semi-fancy jacket when you forget to bring your own. It looks good on you but you hate wearing it.

We ran out of beer last Friday, so we opened up the bottle of Captain Morgan Ruiner's dad replaced the Sailor Jerry he drank with. Yes, I know. But I'm not much of a rum guy anyway. Strangely I don't remember having a second drink but the bottle was in the bin in the morning.
Prior to that it was a bottle of Leopold Gourmel illicitly obtained via Par Avion. Smuggled into the US by the French resistance. My first french cognac. Very nice. Very very nice indeed.

And afterwords we can run amok! Or if you're too tired, we can walk amok.

Re: What's your latest bottle opened?
I fell off the rum wagon and did the trifecta yesterday cuz a Buddy demanded I do so and provided the means to do so.
Balvenie Double Wood Single Malt Scotch
Drambuie
Buffalo Trace Bourbon
My guts ache today, so it's back to the rum diet for me.
Either it was the whiskey or the massive quantities of Chinese food I mixed it with but I'm not taking any chances.
