My ex wife turned me on to chuck and ive absorbed all his shit up till pigmy which im struggling with. Survivor was my fav with luliby[sic] as close second. Hate to say it but it reminds me of the old bond books he found a formula and held on to it. Nothing wrong with that but it does stifle..is that a word? Anyway ill keep reading because i have not much better to do.

I'm also reading many books about chess on the side.
On the side of what? I'm reading a bunch of ancient Vonnegut stories from back in the day when he wrote fiction for magazines, to supplement his dayjob income. Most of them I read as a kid, when my dad would bring home really old magazines from work, as in 1920's through 1950's era magazines. He also brought home National Geographics from the 1800's, but I wasn't supposed to read those. Because of those NG's my brother is still secretly yearning for a woman with a pair of 42 longs.

Hunter S. Thompson The Rum Diary I've read it before but I'm reading it again because its such a great novel. theres going to be a movie about it that stars Johnny Depp,I hope they Don't screw it up.

i'm really hopin they don't fuck it up, too. but i'm just afraid depp is gonna play the role too much like the fear and loathing era duke instead of the more sedate paul kemp from the rum diary. this is my favorite thompson book, i guess we'll just have to wait and see what they do with it.

Martha Stewart's housekeeping manual, in hope of finding a way to remove icky perfume and good bourbon from velvet. (An accident in a perfume store, followed by a drinking stumble.)

All day long I've been reading the book I bought yesterday, finding it for cheap used - I Slept with Joey Ramone, the 2009 bio by his brother Mickey Leigh. It. Is. Awesome. Unputdownable, nearly. Never was a song more ironic than "We're a Happy Family," alas.
