Tonight unfolded like most nights. Drinks after work, cigars included, then off to the next public house for more of the same. Arrival home came with the traditional sigh of relief having once again, avoided a most unfortunate complication of tyrannical interference. But a very pleasant surprise was waiting for me this time in a small red metal box at the end of my driveway.

Like most surprises, good and bad, they come unexpectedly. (thank you spell check)

Yeah, where's the Plumber? You could have knocked me over with a glass of single malt when Grumpy handed me the magazine. I kinda thought I'd never see it again. It's good, real nice. Of course, I had to wait until the old man let it drop from his sweaty hands. He's a slow reader, so I just got to read it today. Too bad it didn't come when he was in the hospital, I would have brought it to him to cheer him up.

One my my last memories of him from Con III was calling cab companies trying to locate his phone, and yakking in Rock's toilet.
