Ugh, why does music from my youth get me so nostalgic now?

Maybe cause I'm getting older and drunker, but I get all teary nowadays. Remembering a world I once held in misguided belief to be 'cool.'

No, there's nothing cool about it. But then again, I guess, there never was. I was just blinded by youthful obliviousness, and a myopic, selfish entitlement.

Cool... I can't believe I used to think this shit was cool.

Whatever.

Where's my goddamn bottle opener.

I feel like falling down a 90's music rabbit hole and having it carry me, drunk and unconscious, into tomorrow.

I'm with ya. I had every P.M. Dawn CD out there before he kicked it and loved it all. Set Adrift on Memory Bliss - the one song that most people knew- reminded of my first boyfriend as a wee lass.

Paper Doll reminds me of blasting this on a road trip on a rainy spring evening.

Loved the quirky Beatle's remix Norwegian Wood too.

totally with you all on the music nostalgia....there's bands that i find detestable but certain songs of theirs can bring a tear to my eye...cause high school/college/uni right...I feel bad for all the people starting Uni this year, there will be no freshers fair and drunktober for them...it'll be a few beers in the kitchen if they're lucky and if they manage to socially distance well enough. That's in the UK anyway, dunno what it's like abroad. Imagine moving to a new city on your own and the law says you can't socialise with anyone outside your own household even in a bar.
