Quite often, drinking on work / on call nights is a no go.

Yep, sucks to serve and protect sometimes, but then again, I wouldn't want any other job, and there is no other job suitable for you for sure, you big Martian Manhunter.
See, I'm drunk again.

Maby Im just drunk, but why does this thread have so many posts? 7 pages of days spent not drinking....come on, dont we have better things to do then getting undrunk, like maby haveing a few drinks for example?

Yeah, I kind of regret creating the thread, but I was just curious I guess. My days off are always a nightmare.

April 3rd, 1975. Or are we including in utero? If we are, make it July 3rd, 1974. My mom liked her vodka.
I'll miss you, pallie.

Better you should ask "when was your last day with drinks" in my case. Besides yesterday, my last day was Dec. 31.
My New Year's Resolution to not drink at home anymore has officially gone down in flames. Oh, well.

Guys, I love booze, really I do. But lately I've been taking a day or a few days off every week and know what? It has increased my appreciation for booze. I used to drink almost literally all the time. Now I take one or two days off and my god, does that first drink after a few days of abstention taste great, as does the second, and the third, and... If you drink every single day, you are at risk of forgetting how great a gift booze is. Smetimes you have to take a step back to have a better view on what being a drunkard really means: a man/woman who is the master of his/her drinking, and enjoys it to the fullest. One who appreciates the craftmanship that went into this wonderful booze. There's no shame in having a day off.
