I shall go ahead next month, just to pimp-slap my good friend.
You know this is probaly greatest dare he could've thought of for me and if I manage this he'll owe bottle of beam and jameson.
as I've never been one for drinking without getting drunk the tempation of "just one beer" doesn't seem like a problem. For now I still got over a week to get drunk as balls, started today buy spending 100+ euros in bar just because.
Pappy Vinklen is the shit. I'll keep you good folks updated on how it goes, given there's interest..

Re: One month detox
Ouch.
You'd go a month undrunk for two bottles of booze?
Sounds to me like sadistic torture for a relatively small payoff.
Then again, that's just me...

It's more about bet I got myself in to while drunk.
I'm not backing off and the pay-off is symbolic I'd say.

I'd incline to say the same.ThirstyDrunk wrote:A month?! Yeah you can fuck all that bullshit.

When I'm not on a mission, I can never find a reason not to drink during the week-end.

Re: One month detox
giving up booze for a set period of time "to prove you can" is a classic symptom of alcoholism, we are not alcoholics, we are drunks, don't give in to the will of the drys

Prove yourself, but be careful.
If it were me, and I really wanted to do such a thing--I'd wean off for the last three days of your remaining 'drunk week'.
It might make things a tad easier. Then again, that's just me...
