Savage, I'm sorry for your loss. Death is difficult, moreso when it involves good parents. With time, the memories that are now unsettling will leave you with a feeling of warmth and a smile. You are in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your loss. At least she is at peace now. She will be in my prayers and so will you and the family.

Sorry for your loss, Savage, this gin and tonic is for you and your mom. And while writing this I lit a candle for you.

Daddy won't have a funeral, a memorial, an internment, as of yet. Tomorrow, when I go there to do his shopping and such, I get to bring up the subject again. And what happens if he gets sick, or worse? We have no way of taking care of him, because he won't talk about any kind of power of attorney or anything of the sort. He just sits there with a box of cremains on his closet shelf, and watches his CNN and eats his pot pies and pretends that everything is okay. I will go over there tomorrow, as I do, and try to get him to settle some things, but I imagine I will fail, once again.

My deepest sympathies. I lost my mother three years ago this month to cancer -- a horrible death.
