Here's a classy Bourbon:

Or perhaps more like this?

I did a 3-way blind tasting of Evan Black, Ezra, and Old Crow Reserve a few weeks ago. It was enlightening.

I like Ezra. I feel something close to a genetic bond with Ezra, as it was my Granddaddy's favorite Bourbon. It held up well, although I like Evan just a little more.

I'll assume this means you kept tasting till you went blind? I only say this because that's how most of my tastings end up, well, blind, snot-slinging, howling at the moon, actually.

Drinking Evan right now. Sweet! Was thinking about the bourbons I disliked. There aren't many. Could only think of Jim Beam. Swear I could ID it in a blind test. It is way too funky with the barrel wood flavor. I mean enough already. Don't need a lot of that stuff but I guess you could get used to it if you had to.

I like Elijah Craig, Maker's, Beam Black and Wild Turkey, (speaking of which, WT101 Rye is the shit).

Three different proofs of VOB, no less.
Scratch that. Just fact checking, and...
Apparently, it's four different potentcies: 80-, 86-, 90- and 100-proof. I guess the 80 proof is for export only (outside of the Commonwealth.)
By the by, it's made by the same people that make 10 High. So there you go.

I'll stick with Pina COlladas.

;)
If I send you $$$, will you send?

VOB is not high end, but it so hard to find out here that if you showed up to a tasting with a bottle, you will have a hundred new best friends. I haven't had it since I left the east coast, and I definitely need a bottle for the home bar.
If you would like a bottle I can look next time I go to store.
