I was glad to see my personal Martini Gin Beefeater get some respect but blown away by my favorite G&T Gin, Gordons making the top 10.

Yep, the Seagram's was number 4. Good stuff. If they raised the proof, I bet it would rate even higher.mjm wrote:Liked that Seagram's was so highly rated. I've always felt that it was a good martini gin. I'm going to have to revisit the whole Plymouth thing, and soon.

After careful consideration, I have to go with Bombay Sapphire as my top choice. Plymouth is way too smooth.

I've been in love with Plymouth martini's for a good 6 months now. I thought it was the best bang for the buck. I've always loved Sapphire, but they seem to taste better with tonics. I'd have to give some props to Gordon's cause they keep me going at the bars. Nothing like $3-5 gin and tonics. I don't recall every having Seagram's in a martini(I'll have to test). At least it's cheap, I think I'd rather have the Beefeater though.

An article on bourbon
A little late for Father's Day but it ties in rather nicely.

Diageo owns Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Baileys, J&B, Capt. Morgan, Cuervo and Tanqueray. With that portfolio, if they aren't raking it in, the business is being seriously mismanaged. Maintaining the historic brewery at St. James Gate should pay off royally in PR. If you were visiting Dublin, where else would you go first? (Besides 7 Eccles St. I mean.) Idiots.
