Yep, I saw that on the news, completely low, completely.

Also, TGI Friday's sucks even harder. I hope this is the deathblow... I'd rather eat at Chili's or Applebee's. I just said I'd rather eat at Chili's or Applebee's.

Haha - come on! How long has this been going on, and you mean NOBODY in Jersey noticed?"One unnamed bar mixed rubbing alcohol with food dye and sold it as scotch. "

NJ is breaking new ground in it's plunge to the bottom. Obviously they passed this flavored rubbing alcohol off on amateur and possibly under age drinkers. I would evacuate that state immediately.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

The first step is admitting that...Dylboz wrote:Also, TGI Friday's sucks even harder. I hope this is the deathblow... I'd rather eat at Chili's or Applebee's. I just said I'd rather eat at Chili's or Applebee's.

Re: New Jersey sucks!
I wouldn't be so fast to lay all this at the feet of New Jersey. Those reprehensible places serving garbage and calling it Scotch deserve severe repercussions, to be sure. But it's not a Jersey thing for a few bad apples to be greedy bastards.
There's a guy named Frank Sinatra who was from New Jersey. He would take a drink now and then.
There is a lot wrong with the Garden State. But as a resident of NJ, who misses PA every day I'm here, I can say this is fairly terrific place for drinking.
And if you can't tell Scotch from poison... well, how will you know which proprietors deserve to be bloodied?

Re: New Jersey sucks!
two things I'm tring to figure out here, who driks at a TGI Fridays, and whoever does, was a drinker of such stature that they could tell high end from low end in one glass. I'll leave it at this, you don't fuck around with Scotch, people that order Scotch - know Scotch, and two - even though I'[m from NYC and NJ is my sworn enemy, God bless NJ, we keep each other sharp.
Remember, people from Jersey realized something was fishy and made phone calls, we should be thanking them for calling folks out.

Even after all this time, you're still "The Cadillac of Men". I meant it in Denver, and I mean it today.steved2112 wrote:I wouldn't be so fast to lay all this at the feet of New Jersey. Re: New Jersey sucks!
I've drank frequently in one of the bars cited for the "rubbing alcohol is the new Scotch" scheme (Yesterday's in Upper Twp). It's not the kind if place I would normally order anything but beer.

I'm glad I never went to one of their restaurants over here. They're very expensive and I can't imagine the food being great
