Good morning (or afternoon, or...you get the gist), fellow boozers! Name's George, and it's good being among other enthusiastic tipplers. Been reading the magazine for a long while now, been drinking for longer, and last night decided to join up after a "few" drinks. Now, I'm nursing a nightmarish hangover with a couple of beers - mixing bourbon and ouzo never agrees with me in the morning, yet I keep doing it...

alright brother....a fellow European eh! welcome to the board...and yeah man the smell of ouzo reminds me of some pretty bleak hangovers over in Greece.DrunkinEurope wrote: ↑Fri Jul 09, 2021 7:42 amGood morning (or afternoon, or...you get the gist), fellow boozers! Welcome aboard from the States. Remember post often. Post drunk. Post drunk often.
Cheers.
I'll have some Sambuca Romano, same flavor as ouzo but a tad gentler on the hangover side of things.

Orders coming up for the welcoming committee. Gotta admit, I never liked Sambuca, but I'll have one for myself, too, because I always liked bartenders that drink along with their customers - probably why no bar ever hires me. And benito, I'll make the bourbon triple, just because you order like I do.

We drunks are quite the friendly bunch, ain't we? Didn't expect more welcome messages during my first day on the board. And DB, you I think you inspired me; I'm gonna have a rum and coke too, to take the edge off those gin and tonics I've been guzzling. After all, weekends are supposed to end with dinosaur-killing hangovers, it's not how they ought to begin.

Hope we dig whiskey sours the same way: a lot of bourbon and a splash of fresh lemon juice.
Drink!
