Thank you oettinger, I’m sorry but I don’t keep no mixers. I’ve got a lemon though, a shot glass, and a bottle of Wild Turkey. I made it ‘till noon today before I cracked the first Budweiser open. But that’s only because I woke up at 11:30. And then there’s the CHECK — How many beers in the door and how many beers on the floor? Got a full fifth half hid behind the couch, thank you Jesus. Good deal, it’s raining outside and I fed the cats so I’m all caught up and it’s Jazz Fest here in New Orleans so there is lots of traffic. Ain’t gonna let that bother me. Not today.

Welcome to the party, Thompson. I'll have a large glass of Wild Turkey, hold the ice, and cheers!

That’s good DE, don’t keep no ice in the house either. I’ll pour ya a healthy one in a rocks glass and pour myself one too. Man, it’s after two, time to get down to business.

And I’m coming up in the world — made it to Souse. That’s a good description and I’m proud to own it!

Welcome.

I'll take a bottle of Jade Edouard absinthe.

What? I'm worth it.

Okay then, shit, I forgot what I was going to say, it seemed like a clever thing to say , but I forgot it. That’s kind of high end drink requests there.
Not that I’m a snob, I still buy whiskey in bottles. Beer only makes sense to buy in cans. No plastic, there’s something about plastic that doesn’t mix with booze. And I made it Booze Head!

This board is a labyrinth to navigate. Topics and threads all over the place. It’s like spilling your last beer — frustrating. Is there a way to see new posts and to mark posts as read? Sorry to sob, but I was counting on that spilt beer.

Well that’s fucking cool DB, dead for one year and revived by Jameson. That’s what happened to Grandpa but he was dead for almost two years. Took him a month or so to catch up, get “up to snuff” like they say.

I don’t work in the Quarter anymore. Sometimes I
venture out but it’s not often and usually ends in a list of disasters. (And it seems every fucking time I piss my pants, sometimes a mild dribble and other times a huge wet spot down to the knee)

Did you go to AA for that year? I went ninety days, got my 90 day chip. It was three fingers of Maker’s Mark left by a guest and turned into the front desk where I was working the front desk and all I did was uncork it and sniff if, and that put an end to the ninety days. What happened, you see, was I got an erection from sniffing the Maker’s Mark. I clocked out and made it home, but it was one more wagon I fell off of.
