Hello, all. This is my first post and I am sitting here drinking vodka, which I don't usually drink; I usually alternate every few months between rum, gin and Scotch. Right now the cycle is back to gin. I always switch to beer after about three drinks, however. Anyway, after reading much of the forum, it looked like a lot of fun so I decided to join so I can get involved in all the hell-raisin'. Now, excuse me while I take another sip.

I must admit, I had not heard of alcofrolic before this, and so I used the search engine which has a name that rhymes with "Flugel" as in Flugelhorn.

Once saw a person suffering from alcoholism, it wouldn`t touch a drink because of it`s lameness-virus. It`s not infectious though if you drink your daily dose.

I've stalked these forums a few times over the last couple years after reading many of the articles on the Modern Drunkard website and I have decided to finally join in on the fun. I usually drink rum or whiskey but tonight I'm sitting here sick with a sore throat and pounding headache and drinking Natural Light (a very rare and expensive craft brew). With every beer my misery is slowly replaced with increasing amounts of joy and a strange tingly numbness in my face. Here's hoping my intoxicated white blood cells are able to effectively combat this accursed affliction or my next drinking session will most likely involve bottles of NyQuil instead of beer...Hello fellow drunkards and cheers
