welcome to the jungle. I'll have that old crow and sprite combination. Sounds crazy enough to get me drunk.

It's been way too long since I've had some Old Crow. Way too long. I'm gonna remedy that next weekend. Thanks for reminding me.

Cheers.

Man tell me about it, some people seem to think there is some kind of "gentemanly" way to get hammered. But at the end of the day quality only improves the taste not the effect. Whether I'm sipping Johnny walker gold label or insanely cheap supermarket brand whiskey....im happy I have a drink.

Also some people seem to think that if you cant afford a decent drink you should abstain....this is simply heresy.

And by the way I'll take a keg of guinness and a bottle of jamesons.
Drunk? I'm not drunk! You wouldn't dare accuse me of that if I was s0ber!

a toast

Post by jubjub »

i'd like to offer a toast to all of you.

4 days ago i woke hungover feeling like the biggest sack of shit about myself (i mean really depressed for how much i drank the night before). while sipping my coffee I turned to the internet for solace. i expected to see a lot of shit regarding 12 steps and jesus. instead i found this forum. i'm grateful that this place made me realize that my ego was conflicting with happiness.

currently, i'm full of Ketel vodka right now (and am happy to share what's left of the bottle with all of you, cheers, (please leave me a sip for the morning)) but i want to wish the best to all of you miserable twats - and a happy new year. thank you for making me laugh & happy.

Up Your's,
jubjub

Cheers to you as well. Found the site a while ago and started lurking on the forum off and on. Tired of all the other forums I frequent, hopefully I can find a safe-haven here. Keep up the good fight.

yeah that's just the hangover talkin'. it's called an emotional hangover by some, and knowing it's not really how you feel, just the way your brain works when it's water-starved, should make it go away. well, that, and a few beers.

A toast

Post by Shane-O-Matic »

So, I was sitting outside a pub in Partick last night with a friend, making sordid comments about all the beautiful women who walked by. A rarity in itself, as the weather is usually fucking awful. To be sat outside with a cold pint of Tennent's was just brilliant.

Better yet was having a few whiskies with a friend of my father's. 87 years old and still knocking them back more often than anybody I know. He told me "I didn't have a drink until I was 22 years old - and I haven't stopped since!" A truly amazing character. It's 0730, but I;m raising a glass to him now.
