The discussion led to the early WWF It was all independent wrestlers making a name for themselves in places like the L.A. Olympic Auditorium in the mid 1960's...

A lot of those guys were true-to-life hardasses because they had to be. You had to keep the illusion up so if some punk in a bar thought he could test you, you had to be able to beat his ass. A lot of times your promotion would fire you if you lost a bar fight. A lot of times, old school pro wrestlers were hard living, hard drinking badasses and I loved them.
