Did you go to Drinking Man?

Post by slushfund »

I am still in touch with the country/bluegrass band that played at my MassCon. Three Day Threshold, they were the first band. Did you like them? Are they appropriate? Should I try to get them again, for the Memorial Day weekend?

They were very good. And they know what to expect. Go for it.

How about the burlesque? That troupe is still together, Boston Baby Dolls. I think I remember that it was sort of lame, although I didn't regret hiring them. Anybody else remember anything?

were they the guys with the hank williams jr. look-alike for their frontman? i enjoyed all of the entertainment and anything that could be repeated would be well received.

I was there . . . while I may not remember anything in particular about said entertainment, I also don't recall anything that was offensive. I think you can never go wrong with burlesque and bluegrass, especially with this crowd. :) Do I also recall some conversation at some point about one of the Irish-punk-esque bands? That would also likely be well received.

The Swaggering Growlers are not together anymore, but I will look into similar entertainment

We have the Kilmaine Saints down this way. I don't know how far they travel but they are pretty good. PM if you want a link or contact info.
