The hell is up with weather.

It's been roughly around freezing point, no snow and suddenly today I realized it is indeed -16 Celcius or so. No snow what so ever. This winter has been effing strange.

It is mid March in mid continental North America, and we are expecting 6-8 inches (15-20cm) of fresh snow by Tuesday evening on top of all the filthy looking shit that hasn't melted yet. Temperatures are expected to hover around freezing, rather balmy compared to recent ball-chilling weather. A couple degrees warmer and I'm headed for the beach!


It's been an abnormally brutal winter on this side of the puddle. Not sure how the Suomi folk cope with it, but I'd imagine the strategy is much the same as it is here. Kippis!

Yeah, here in Michigan this winter has been the worst since before I bought my house 13 years ago.

My power was out for a week due to an ice storm and twice the water line coming into my house has frozen. leaving me without water for 2 days each time it happened. The weather also caused my water heater to fail ($300) and the pump on my hot tub to need replacing ($500).

My double-wide drive is only a single-wide because of all the piled up snow so the wife and I have to juggle with car placement all the time. It also might have ruined the pool cover which I just put on a few months ago to the tune of $1700. The ice caused several trees to lose limbs which cost me another $150 to pay a guy to help me cut up wood and haul it away.

Yeah, this winter can suck my balls.
