oh yeah, and I don't know the reference but it's pretty cool nonetheless

I have a Swiss Army knife I feel the same way about. Have had it since 1975 and has been my companion and tool. Thought I lost it a couple times but it resurfaced. Made a knotted lanyard out of fishing net material and carved a replacement toothpick myself from a block of styrene plastic while on a 3 mo. fishing expedition in the early '80's. Losing something like that is almost like a death in the family so I know how your feeling. It's that sentimental attachment that gets us.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

You probably ate it during one of those late breakfasts. A hungover/still drunk person eats just about everything

Go visit a doctor, he will pull it out
Drink!

always count the fingers after a hearty meal. Fingernails stick between the teeth, you know.

I imagine it went something like this

I've decided that I must have lost it on the bike ride home from the last bar (Mick's Traditional Irish), two weeks ago today.

The wife wants me to stop bitching about it but I can't. It's like losing a limb. It's one of those things that has gone hand-in-hand with drinking for many, many years. And I can't let it go!
