I used to know a guy named Brushy Bill, he just let his nose hairs grow out and combed them into his mustache.

I cut them and glue them to my head to not look as bald, doesn`t work for the ladys but the vodka just can`t say no. Success of the decade so far!

I'm here to tell you mustache wax on nose hair doesn't work.

Grumpy buys these battery operated gadgets from Walmart. I would be scared to stick one of those in any one of my orifices. But it works for him, so okay.

I remember visiting a friend who was roughly 6 days deep in to the bender, it was a bloodbath. He decided that nose hair had to go add scissors. Of course bathroom was slippery from him taking a shower before and well you see where this is going.

I offered to get him a drive to hospital but he refused as such course of action would cut in to his progress with the moonshine he was battling against.

This was roughly 5 years ago. Dude is in a healthy relationship now and has a kid. Doesn't drink that often anymore (he did picked up by the police before father's day though). How the times change.

I lit a pall Mall last night on the gas range: problem solved.

BTW, any eyebrow donors out there?

Ya know, I was looking at the old Hill Street Blues show on IMDB, and there was this video of that show, a sort of “Where are They Now” for it.

At the end, it mentions that an actress, Dominique Dunne, was choked by her boyfriend the day she was to film for the series as, get this, a battered young single mother. She survived that choking, but not the next one, after she escaped him and ran and hid at her mother's place.

Young lady still needs to work, so she shows on the Hill Street Blues set, and they don’t need to do any make-up, because the bruises were real.

Thing is, the show aired just after she died, and it was dedicated to her.

I’m like, wait, that name seems familiar. Dominique Dunne, rest her soul.

Turns out, that young lady was the actress playing the older daughter in the classic movie “Poltergeist” at the same time.

It's true. She was killed by her real life fucked-up ex-boyfriend on her porch, after she escaped him, and ran to her mom’s place, and he tracked her down, and choked her again.

If you read to the end of the article, it’s pretty fucked up. Guy gets out of prison after three and a half years and becomes a head chef. (The judge was a stupid asshole during those proceedings, and catches hell, but not enough, IMO.)

Killer moves down southeast, and then…

Wait, I mean to say, Hey! I learned today: that sometimes true stories are even creepier than horror stories about ghosts.

Thanks, Hill Street Blues, I will never look at you in the same way again.

Now to watch Poltergeist. Evidently, there was a curse.

Cheers! Happy reading. This calls for some absinthe from a dear Scot friend.

Most disturbing, indeed. Thank you Mr. Willies. This show was early cutting edge reality TV.

If you broke into a golf course

To hit some drunken balls

And the place is good and locked up

When Mother Nature calls

And when the booze has wrecked your belly

As it will from time to time

If there ain't no toilet paper

A T-shirt works just fine
Making my own city lights out of bourbon and the stars of a barroom fight.
