I took a half day at work, went to the parade, and got hammered with a buddy and an internet friend from out of town, went to my favorite bar nearby, and drank more. We went home and napped. Rallied up at my buddy's, got bbq, and thought nobody was coming out. Two other guys made it out. We went to a karaoke bar. I wore a hotdog costume. I got two girls' numbers by wearing it and karaoking in it. (It's actually a very esoteric, almost spiritual experience to see a man singing "The Bad Touch" by the Bloodhound Gang in a full-body hot dog costume like I did). We called an uber, and my buddy whose birthday was the night before puked down the storm drain with dead-perfect accuracy. Got in the uber, and he didn't pick. The literal half second he stepped out of it at the next bar, though, he spewed everywhere on the sidewalk. They wouldn't let him in. We instead went in, did shots, and went back out. We walked (and ran when we saw railroad cops. Don't fuck with them) down 2-3 miles of railroad tracks. My buddy claimed it was a quick way to his house we had rallied at. It wasn't. All in all, a great time.

Sounds like a great St. Pat's and thanks for sharing. Parades, naps, BBQ, and karaoke... definitely key elements to a great start. Hot dog costume is just an added bonus. Did ya do the kinda stuff that only Prince would sing about??

Coincidentally the other day I just posted "The Bad Touch" in the "Whatcha Listening To?" forum. Who couldn't use a weekend being smothered and covered like Waffle House hash browns?!

St. Patty's weekend!

Post by Patchez »

Took a vacation day today. Made it a three day weekend. Gotta move 20 tons of dirt around the yard in the AM.

But tonight no work and a little Friday Ryeday. Old Overholt. BiB.

Saint Fatpricks Day

Post by ScottMcG »

What you all doing for Saint Fatprick's Day? I figured I'd have overcooked eggs tomorrow with undercooked bacon, a side of salmonella-flavored salad, and make out with drunk-ass college chicks. Oh, and walk in a parade.

move 20 tons of dirt around my lumpy yard in an attempt to make it unlumpy. Then drink it up locally.

That sounds fun. It's gotta be better than watching amateurs drink. What can I bring for booze and entertainment? I have my own shovels.

We three could dig deep holes and plant some "greens".

Wouldn't it be more Irish of you to dig a canal or something? And 20 tons? Are you weighing all this dirt before you move it?
