Re: Thanks dad
My dad died when I was 27, but he did teach me to drink. Always the gentleman he was, even after a crate of beer. Here's to you, dad.
Re: Thanks dad
My daughter got me this huggie for Father's Day. I do love that child, she really knows me.

Re: Thanks dad
According to the Death Clock, my Dad left us back in 2004. Someone should tell Mom to dispose of him, before he starts stinking up the place. Of course, he's still in his comfy chair, listening to NPR and reading Barrons, drinking his forbidden root beer floats.

Re: Thanks dad
Comfy chair and NPR, that's kinda cool. But root beer? OMFG! Give the man a bottle of single malt! By the way, Savage, it's a great thing that your dad is still alive. My dad died when I was 27, he would have turned 70 this year, and I sure would like to have a drink with him right now.Savage wrote:According to the Death Clock, my Dad left us back in 2004. I got my father-in-law a bottle of Booker's for Father's Day. I figured it was an even trade for getting his daughter.

The only way we can be sure about that is if you send us all a bottle so that we can taste and report.Rooster wrote:I got my father-in-law a bottle of Booker's for Father's Day. I figured it was an even trade for getting his daughter.

As of today, both Dad, and Dad-in-Law are still breathing. My Dad, born in 1930. Grumpy's Dad, born in 1922. Go, Dads!

Re: It's your day
A toast to dads here, and dads no longer with us who are worth remembering. Speaking not of my own, who is alive and kicking, but particularly of a good friend's dad who was taken away a few years ago at the young age of 61. He should have lived a lot damn longer.
Bottoms up.
Bottoms up.

Father's Day
I got this idea in me head from writing about this in a thread in here moments ago. No follow me throiugh here. Call me Drunk and you will be correct. It's taking a friggin loooong time to try to write this.
I think Father's Day can be appreciated across the globe, even for those of you Modern Drunkards who are not aware that you are the father of a child somewhere.
I propose that we should have a Father of the Forums for our MDM community.
It is The Judge.
Yup.
The Judge deserves recognition for being a mod, all alone by himself a few years back, and how many times has he relocated but always been the big Daddy for his own clan.
Fuck you idf you don't agree.
Wait. I mean, Don't forget to DRINK!
Always drink.
Always
