Perhaps this was better put by the ever eloquent Oscar Wilde, when he so astutely noted that "work is the curse of the drinking class." As the self proclaimed "drinking class", it is our duty to eliminate that which impedes our life goals; those goals, being achieved through the means of intoxication, expressed as the manifestation of our life-activity, (our drunken behavior), or our true intents of existence, of living life to its fullest; our activity in creation, in expression, in fucking; our most animal activities being the most liberating. The dependence on labor, as life expression for the purpose and benefit of another clearly restricts these goals. The impending alarm clock of the morning, as a warning and foreshadowing of the latter time clock, owned and dictated by our bosses, acts a potential deterrent to our decision of consuming that next drink or not. The potential of any nobility contained within the hangover is negated once we are on the clock, and dealing with the responsibilities bestowed upon us by employment. With the elimination of Work, comes the freedom of intoxication; the freedom of relinquishing control and schedule. The ordinary citizen will dismiss that last drink, claiming the necessity of an early bed, as preparation for the demands of the following work day. Drunkards, in their purest spirit, deny such comforts, such luxuries. The final shot may not be one remembered, but it is to the permanent elimination of the Drunkard's curse. Fuck the bosses. Tonight, we drink.

I've done this, and it isn;t what it seems, you are completely drunk but - you are at a level where, I'm not sure how to explain it, and it can only happen under certain circumstances, you are operating at a higher level and your mind is completely open, yet - you are drunk, and while you are in this wild Whiskey Zen, enjoy it, because it is fleeting. Even if you kept drinking, you can't stay there, "there" has no long term guests, you have to hammer the hell out of being alive while there, and then leave - and there is ZERO escape from leaving. You have to go, and you will.

I refuse to have the first beer until the turkey get's his. As soon as the coals are ready, the bird goes on the fire with a can of beer poured over him, then I can have mine. Then, we spend the next 3+ hours drinking together. Happy Thanksgiving.

turkey just isn't turkey if it isn't barbecued. My dad started doing it at christmas a few years ago and we've never looked back

I grew up eating turkeys prepared on a Weber grill. It's almost a disappointment to have one that is cooked that way.
