Just got back from Duluth.
They don't actually have those underwear there.

I hired a hooker and insisted that she call herself Princess Megan. I also made her wear a crown that I made out of foil, copper wire and an old bicycle chain. I drank rye whiskey and Mr Pibb while I watched the royal wedding and she serenaded me with a few songs on the trombone.

I have so far today successfully avoided royal weddings, champagne, bubble baths, hookers, crowns, foil, copper wire, old bicycle chains, mr pibb and trombones. I did however have to go to the store and it was wall to wall douche bag in there as per usual. Currently consoling myself with beer.

Somebody wanted to skype before I even had a drink and I thought WTF. Then I bought $240 worth of fucking groceries and mega loads of stupid, yet necessary, shit like paper towels, tp, snot tissue, and dish soap. Yet I'm still hungry. And piss drunk. You BASTARDS!

I drove around the country side today streaming music from my new pixel 2 to my truck's sound system via blue tooth. Damn I'm getting good at this technology bullshit! For some odd reason, I kept gravitating to ghetto rap. I've always declared my self a rap hater but, I have to admit, it sounds better when you're on the inside of the vehicle than it does from the outside.

So I stop for a drink at this lovely bar/restaurant. It was hot so I was in the mood to drink Bombay Sapphire and tonics. I had three and was informed they were $7 apiece, but the bartender was in a hurry to get ready for the dinner rush, so he only charged me $10 for all 3. They were still making money, so I didn't correct them. I know the distributer price for that bottle of gin.

Then I wandered to my favorite redneck bar that is largely composed of blue collar types and more serious drunkards. A few more bombay sapphire G&T's in a 16 beer glass for $6 apiece. Plus, I think they forgot to charge me for one drink while I was there, but I wasn't sure at that point. They seem to do that every time I go there.


I order their fish dinner, which is fantastic. Then this really big dude wanders in that I know as "Bill the Mason". We have a pleasant conversation but he's slamming beers faster than I can breath. Bill is an ex-marine and not a pleasant man to be around when he's drunk. We've almost gotten into fights a few times, so I eat my dinner and leave before Bill gets drunk enough to try and pick another fight with me. I'm too fucking old for that shit anymore. I'd probably just ask him outside and shoot him. And that would have made me feel bad because he really isn't a bad guy. He's just a bad drunk.

So, all in all, it was a good day! I caught a buzz, listened to music, ate like a king, and didn't kill anybody!

So. My job, it's something a normal person can do with the brain turned completely off. I possess a very specific skill that they need, and in exchange for me using that skill for a laughably low wage, they basically ask me to do fuck-all else. We're good.

We WERE good.

My boss, (We'll call her Cunt Napoleon), well, CN is new. Not new to the company, She was old bosses's's's's' (fuck spelling) understudy since before I joined up. But now that she's Queen Dick, THINGS ARE GOING TO CHANGE.
The first thing to change? We lost our best truck loader. CN fired our last lead (justified, and the only smart thing she's done), but then just appointed another guy to be our lead, instead of opening the job up for bids like she is supposed to. Our best loader, who wanted that more than anything else in the world, well, guess what? He quit.
The second thing to change? Those idiot temps we have hanging around? The one that can only do half his job, and the other one, who is so goddamn stupid we are all amazed he can find his way to work everyday? They're now permanent hires.
The third thing? It turns out that she's got a hard-on for "promoting" me to a more demanding position. Could I handle it? EASILY. Will I let this happen?
HOLY FUCK HELL NO!

So, my day in a nutshell:

I come in. I am a giant ball of vitriol and bile, telling everybody who will listen exactly how and why they should get fucked. I do the one thing I can do that nobody else on my shift can, and nothing else, for two hours. I do not speak to my lead. Three hours in, My lead comes to talk to me. He apologizes, promises to go to bat for me against CN. Yay.
I stay a giant ball of vitriol and bile. I kinda hope they are the kind of company that monitors the fuck out of everybody's social media. I would love to have the chance to explain to CN what the word 'vitriol' means.



In the end, I'm cool with it. These fuckers will be telling stories about me for years.
