The Mirage has a pretty good range. They'll throw in a bump stock and you don't even have to leave your room. Not 100% sure, but you may have to be a high roller to get this package. Maybe Oett can call and check.

There is a firing range in LV that will rent you a fully automatic rifle to blast the shit out of the cement bunkers they use as backstops (paper targets? LOL!). Can't remember the name but the TV story showed some high caliber rounds going off at a rapid rate.

Yes, not to be a stickler, but I believe the proper spelling is Rifles! Rifles! Rifles!

Guns R Us was acquired by Ammunation in 2016, though they still have slot machines and a pretty decent snack bar. The Grenade Shack on Piedmont is another great place to unwind after a hard day of drinking, whoring and gambling.

ROOM RESERVATION INFORMATION

The FLAMINGO HOTEL & CASINO will serve as home base for the 2018 summer trip.

I will arrive on Thursday, August 2 and check out on Sunday or Monday.

We need at least 10 rooms by May 1 to secure the same floor for all Modern Drunkards. So far, I have no idea how many of us there are. If we can't confirm the number of rooms by May 1, we may be scattered all over the hotel. Please post your intention to attend on this thread as soon as possible so we know what we can expect. If you are planning on sharing a room with someone else, please also post that information so we can get a true room count. I will be arriving with at least two others, so we will have a minimum of two rooms. At this point, we are looking for 8 more to receive the preferential treatment we desire.

For those unfamiliar with Las Vegas, this hotel is located in the middle of the strip and has the best walkability options to a number of other good hotel/casinos on the strip.

Transportation in LV is plentiful. You will not need a car if you are staying in town.

I have not decided if I will fly or drive. But I will need to do that right away if I want to secure good airline rate. For those who will be flying, I STRONGLY recommend you do the same.

Long range planning is an anathema to me. Plus, that will be the time period in which my Parents will celebrate, I hope, their 60th wedding Anniversary. I suppose family gatherings will trump the casino drunk thing. However, if I should appear, it will be in a stealth cameo drunkard mode, so you may want to watch closely.
