Found out the Flamingo is now a gay hotel/casino as per their own website. Don't want to have to deal with these touchy feely nancy boys again where I hurt their feelings. Am I being too paranoid? I'm a proud homophobe.
Caesars Entertainment (formerly Hilton Entertainment Group) operates about 45% of the properties in Las Vegas. MGM Resorts owns about 45% too. The remaining 10% are a mixture of small groups and independent stand-alone properties Both of the big organizations, and most of the smaller ones have posted statements similar to this:
"We are fortunate enough to have scored 100% on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index nine years in a row! Additionally, we are proud supporters of the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC), and the Human Rights Campaign..."
They are not "gay hotels", but they want gay money. Nothing to worry about. Staying there will not make you gay. And gay people (I simply call them "people") aren't the only guests in the place. Don't worry, we will protect you.
The gay mafia in bed with the Jesuits. They run LV.
I'm also objecting to the room rates. I was quoted $169 a nite four mos. in advance. Are there cheaper places nearby? All I need to do is post my name and hotel booking in a PM so you can contact me. I don't have a mobile phone.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

Are you kidding me? $169 a night at the Flamingo? The rack rate is less than $100. Were you trying to book the 5,500 square foot Presidential Suite which comes with complementary pre-soiled carpeting, shower, pillows, and bed spread? Try requesting a "Sharps User" suite. It's a great room, but they will not guarantee guests won't get "poked" by hypodermic needles left laying around on the floor. You may also be required to dispose of a dead body and/or clean up body fluids.
Yeah $169 is doable. I booked mine- the $325 a night Cosmopolitan Suite. Comes with a complimentary lap dance from a low end hooker and a coupon for half off at the local Golden Corral Buffet.

Cosmopolitan Suite? That's a high roller room. Did you spring for the Linens and More package? I read on line that it's available on a first come, first served basis. It comes with 2 pillows, 1 reusable bath towelette, sheets, beadspread, and toilet paper. Since you are flying in, it's probably a bargain at $187 a night. That way, you don't have to pack all that stuff.
I wouldn't pay for the Audio/Visual Extravaganza package though. Who needs a TV in Vegas? It's fucking Vegas for christsake.

True that. All they show are ads for what you could be doing instead, and they're showing weak shit.
I want the suite with the free leftovers of forgotten, half full beers, hairy soap from home, and a bathrobe with personality.
Truly, however, just something with a bathtub for ice, some heavy blackout curtains, and a pre-printed sticker for outside the door that reads, "Good Tip At The End."
I guess I'm on my own to find reasonable room rates but this is a weekend affair. I'm sure booking on a Monday or Tuesday would be much cheaper.
Lush, If you really want to find some cut-rate rooms, try the Plaza on Main Street, Main Street Station, Freemont Hotel and Casino. All of theae and more are located in Downtown Las Vegas. It's a $13 cab ride to the Flamingo.

Does that include the tip?
