I vote Bogart, I've wanted to drink Gordon's gin with him since age 7.

According to several journos, at least while Dean was working the Summit at the Sands with the Rat Pack in the early '60's, he didn't drink liquor. He had prop alcoholic drinks but played the role well.

I had always heard Martin was a phony drinker in the early years and only really went at it in earnest after his son died.

Never watched firefly, but Kirk seems (like all StarTrek protagonists) to be a know it all, seen it all, too cool for school asshole (Picard was the worst of the worst in this regard). I`ll go with the latter then.
Five gallons of beer? Interesting. And what was served for main course?

Mal. 10/10
I would even go so far as to say Nathan Fillion over Shatner. Fillion you can laugh at and with.

Here's a litlle help, for those that need it.

Without wanting to throw a spanner in the works, what about Commander Susan Ivanova?

Image

She's Russian, good looking, "plays for both teams", and drinks a shed-load of vodka (amongst other drinks); what's not to like?

I know her from something else. (as discussed not much of a trekker meself)

I almost fixed that but, it seemed like too much of an undertaking at the time so I watched episode of black sails instead and passed out.

Edit: Something about mal just ticked me the right way. I could point out little things out of him, but frankly I think it's just many small things clicking on with context.

I wasn't even going through particularly rough time but some of the dialogue reminded me off that. And Mal had roughly had same amount of fucks to give as I did at the time.

I`ll challenge P.`s Ivanova with Dax:

Multiple personalities like every woman, smart ass, drinks like it, tight dressing, tattoos (good and bad)

And keep note: "Marina Sirtis" does not count. That would be some internet overkill again

That was such a sad ending. There was a Rat Pack reunion a few years after his son's death and he was a mess. Walked off the stage in the middle of the act and tossed his lit cigarette into the audience.
