And so it comes around again. Work have been informed that for the next week they may not enjoy the pleasure of my company as I have survived yet another 365 days on this earth. And so begins a true bender, 9 days dedicated to booze and drinking. It will involve the fair cities of Durham, Newcastle and York and my own barbecue skills but this one celebrates 40 years which is 6 more than I predicted in my formative drinking years when I started a regular sup 29 years back.
And so I invite you all to raise a glass, not to myself but to absent friends and to all the good times shared either online or in person as I toast you all in the glasses I raise this week.
