Sure, but only on your anniversary, and only in a mini-van.

BTW, Happy Veteran's Day to FKR, Sammy, Patchez, and any of you other fighting fucking drunks who served us well. Help me with a list so I can have a shot for each of you.

We all appreciate your service.

Does anyone remember Shawn Timothy Nelson, the 35-year-old Army veteran who stole a Patton tank from a National Guard Armory in San Diego and went on a joy ride back in 1995?

Vivid memories of the TV video coverage. I came away with a strong feeling of envy. The feeling of just crushing those in your way must be better than sex!

A Salute to Those Who Have Served

Post by Patchez »

A toast to Mr. Bozificator where ever he may be serving currently.

A toast to Grumpy, Savages hubby, who served with Uncle Sam's Misguided Children.

A toast to Rooster, who unless I missed some cues was Coast Guard.

A toast to Bur who did his bit in the Finnish Army.

A toast to my brother Bubblez who like myself did a drunken stint in the Air Force.

A toast to FKR, slurred be his name, Army I believe, Ranger even.

A toast to anyone I may have missed or was unaware of.

Cheers!! A wet Veterans Day to us all!!

20 years with that lousy outfit.

Now, I've moved into the Minors... dinging dongers for spectacle. The casual masses getting a chance to see a legend put some spin on the ol' ball like he did in Costa Rica, GITMO, El Sal, and Mexico. Sure, it's Dayton or Scranton or White Plains now; but, you still get the price of admission when the ol' slugger sends one sailing.

I am currently serving from a HQ, which is very disturbing for an infantry parachutist, but apparently, that's where they put us when we get old and rabid. It sucks. When I got deployed to Africa this year, nobody cared for my shooting abilities, but the general asked me to double check my bullet points. Change of the guard I guess.
Lessons learnt: stay young if you can. If you can't, then train your crew real well and instil them with a cult for the mission completion.

How many of you got your free food? Grumpy had shrimp. I don't know what the teeny tiny Marine had. I hate to bother her, as she is probably at work.

Through war we have seen not only fantastic places but also the greatest human interactions. I have not died in combat (which really is a shame according to my grandpa) but I hope that when Lady Death gives me the final kiss I will be ushered into a giant hall with all my fallen friends and enemies around the table so that we talk endlessly about who killed whom and for what stupid reason.
"I got you in my sight", "fuck you! you just got lucky!". Well we are both dead now, let's have pork and a glass of wine Good idea! Cheers!
