Grumbling about things that don't really even piss you off

Post by Bur »

Goddamn Finnish Defence Forces keep sending me letters to get my ass on military refreshers or face jail time, I've been part of the reserve for 9 goddamn years and now's the time. Like I got time to spare for another week long camp of shooting military grade weapons etc. and getting paid over my salary when it's considered the compensation is tax free... And just to think of all the inapproriate jokes you wouldn't hear in regular day to day without rising eyebrows. I just don't know how I'm gonna deal with this.

So go do your duty, shoot the fuck out of some targets, and have fun doing it. That's what I would do.

Pack plenty of booze for your trip. Remember the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms highly recommends all three.

C'mon, dude. The Finnish sniper Simo Häyhä, aka "the White Death", reportedly killed over 500 of Stalin's flunkies during the Winter War of 39-40. Under -20 C conditions with frostbite of the balls. And he got half his face blown off, plus he had a really, really bad case of dandruff.

I actually singed my name on some stuff last year and that's why I'm spending like 2-3 weeks a year going to these. I've actually quite enjoyed the first take earlier this year, it's much like trekking, but you don't need to bring your own food/gear. But I do feel like it is tradition and duty to bitch about this stuff for some reason.

Other things we are over because we aren't passionate enough about to hate it but still want to grumble about it...

Hey man it isn't something you can get over in a flash. I'm so upset by the whole thing I can't even sit down. If I actually knew what the big to do was, cause I'll be damned if I'm sitting through the Super Bowl, I'd be offended to no end.

Yeah I'm still a wee bit traumatized as well but a few more drinks and I think I can carry on.

I'm over children pop stars

Billie Ellish, or whatever, can kiss my ass! Children shouldn't be the engine driving our country's culture. That's why everything and everyone's so stupid now.

I want to go back to the days when 30 year old men, looked like they were 40 and drank and smoked so much they sounded like they were 50.
