Aside from the mask wearing in stores etc., everything here in Germany is refreshingly normal. No Mad Max apocalypse anyway. Stores are fully stocked. Stuff is reopened. Virus cases have plateaued for the most part. We don't even think nor worry about the virus because people here take precautions without complaint because they aren't a bunch of entitled MAGA hat wearing Karens partying at the Ozarks.

Store hours are getting longer, almost back to normal actually. The stores that had one way aisles seem to be ditching that stupid idea. And you can go inside liquor stores again like a big boy or girl. This face mask shit is starting to really suck ass. By August I'm saying more people will take their chances with the virus than continue to fuck around with the face mask.

This seems to be the trend around me. Everyone is over it already.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

If you are looting and rioting you are a patriot and immune from the virus.
If you attend a Trump rally you are a racist that is spreading disease.

^ ^ ^None of this is fine. ESPECIALLY the MAGA hats.

If they aren't wearing masks at any of these mass gatherings, it's not right. But the looters need to go to prison. Never said that was okay.

Indeed, I bet they make their parents proud! So articulate and well educated that they didn't even need to read the transcripts to support their vacuous blatherings!

The dufus that blamed 9/11 on obama was funny. Everyone knows that had reagan written all over that one.

By July 4th pubs and hairdressers will open here in the UK. It may be a relief for those in the Skype chat to actually see me out of pyjamas and a dressing gown which has been my lockdown uniform for 3 months.

Not sure what my first drink will be, but i'm looking forward to it

My neighbor is a customer service rep for health insurance (working from home right now). She says our county has been put on a watch list and another stay-at-home order is imminent, non-essential businesses will have to close again. She said it might happen this weekend.

One of my friends who is a bartender just posted pics on Facebook at his bar, today was his first day at work. He's wearing a mask and there is clear shower curtains between each barstool. He was one of those guys whose unemployment claim got lost in the crush and he still hasn't received a payment. He may have to file another claim if we get shut down again.

I hope my neighbor is full of shit. I hope she's wrong. I'm so tired of it all.

The CA governor just asked Imperial County to reinstate a stay-at-home order, so my county, San Diego, is undoubtedly next.

BTW, my neighbor knew about this before it was public, so she's probably right that we will get hit again.
