All this talk of Yard's has got me craving a Poor Richard's Tavern Spruce Ale. It's good to see some love for one of PA's often forgotten craft brewers. Also, has anyone tried Yard's Belgian style brews (Trubbel de Yard's, Saison, and Pynk)? If yes, how were they?
Cheers!

This stuff is pretty good
Coopers Brewery
Best Extra Stout
Meth says: This bottle-conditioned extra stout is rich and tasty. Yeah. That's not too generic.
I'm a stout fellow and I like my beers the same way. Unless I'm feeling manly and ful of strongliness, in which case I'll have a porter. Maybe even a case of porter. Get it? Case... like a case of beer? Seriously, I need a new writing team.
Anyhow, this brew comes from the land down under. Where the beer does flow and men chunder. And from where they refuse to export Victory fucking Bitter. Is it really that hard to secure an American distribution contract? Can you hear, can you hear, can you hear how frigging pissed off I am that there is no vicky bitter in the states? I can get this shit, and I suppose it will do, but I feel like they're guarding some big secret by not letting one of their most popular beers into the US. There's no way in hell I'm flying into their land of constant danger and poisonous fucking spiders everywhere just to try a brew, so export the shit already you upside-down bastards.
I like this beer. It makes me want to break stuff and type angry words and pine over my inability to procure a pint of Victoria Bitter. Oh yeah, Hank likes it too.
Rating: Six redback spiders, two bloodthirty crocodiles and a stingray.
Be safe everyone.

Belhaven Wee Heavy
I'm not one for good beers, I generally prefer beast ice and PBR over most things. but this shit had avery nice taste to it.
although the heavy creamy after taste was a bit much at times, still tasted like a delicious ale.

Belhaven makes some very fine beers indeed. In addition to the Wee Heavy, they also make a standard Scottish Ale (different from a Scotch Ale) and a light, refreshing ale named St. Andrew's Ale. Both are highly recommended as well. As an added bonus, the label designs are simple yet elegant.
