The visably intoxicated part isn't too different to anywhere else, the second part though is odd. How do the lawmen define a "known habitual drunkard"?

Where is this? Reminds me of when we landed onboard a new base and at the local grocery, I saw a sign on the cash register with names of people to not accept checks from, and their addresses. Also, some of the checks marked “refused”.

Later that day, I delivered Avon products to a woman who wanted to write me a check.Yep, bingo. I told her I was between banks and somehow, from the women in the house, they came up with enough cash to pay the bill. I skipped that house after that. BTW, Avon sux to work for.

Remember that thread where people feel embarrassed about going to the liquor store too many times and buying too much booze because you don't want the clerk to think you're a no-good drunk? Well, I do that. That's why I alternate between CVS Pharmacy and the liquor store and I also wait for the shift changeover at the liquor store before going back. No doubt I'd be classified as a Habitual Drunkard. It's either that or take a roller cart with me to the liquor store and fill it up all in one trip.
