As is The Art of Coarse Drinking by Michael Green. A book that I recommended, on this Board, a good ten years ago and was universally enjoyed by those who obtained a copy; which, sadly, is increasingly hard to find.

At last, a good, old fashioned read, with something to offend everyone.

I found The Skeptic's Annotated Bible a while back, and, while I was hoping for more, it does entertain.
But this thread is about non-fiction, so, I don't know if the Bible belongs here, or not. I think that Mr. Dewey had a seperate religion section just because of that.

Re: Non-fiction Bookclub
I just got roped into starting Ulysses again, on Joyce's birthday (I think sometime in Feb), as part of a book club of sorts. I'm alternately excited and terrified. I struggled with it nearly 20 years ago when I had many more brain cells. Ack.

Great book but not exactly non-fiction.Mother Grinch wrote:I just got roped into starting Ulysses again...
Kudos to you, if you finish it, though.

I read a lot of rockstar autobiographies and definitely won`t recommend them all here, because when your into that music you know 'em anyway.
But Nikki Sixx`s http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Heroin ... _Rock_Star is an incredibly great read. Most of it is drug insanity, but the parallels to a modern drunken life are often so utterly hilarious that I think you people should give it a try too.
