Nice find, there.
From the article: "Alcohol also prompts the brain to release dopamine, a chemical associated with pleasure."
To wit: my friend who has a room here in my place (in order to help him along his path out of not being a Modern Drunkard, but simply a drunken wreck) found a way to sidestep the use of alcohol in order to enjoy himself.
He and his girlfriend worked together to steal anti seasickness pills in large amounts. One to divert, and the other to steal.
They would swallow 80 pills for him, and 120 for her, of dopamine.
I have no idea what it would do, but he said that it caused hallucinations.
I prefer the DRINK!

A great article. Abstinence seems odd to me. If a man can't handle a drink it leads me to wonder what else he can't handle

Much work, little gain, evidently. Luckily for him, he did not receive liver poisoning, each weekend.oettinger wrote:Sign me up for a mere 10k!mistah willies wrote: 80 pills for him

This thread reminded me of something, and you should ask Oggar about the particulars, but, and I beliebe it was him that once spent a stint in jail instead of attend court mandated AA meetings.

That's dedication to the art, like a drunken martyr of sorts. Take one for the cause. Beliebe in yourself, justin case no one else will.frankennietzsche wrote:This thread reminded me of something, and you should ask Oggar about the particulars, but, and I beliebe it was him that once spent a stint in jail instead of attend court mandated AA meetings.
