2020 election night

Post by Hugh »

It's 10:17 west coast time and most states have been called. Biden leads 238 to 213.All that's left is PA, NC, GA, MI, WI, NV. Both of them pretty much have to run the table at this point, or we will not have a winner. I think it goes to the House if neither one of them hits 270, unless their lawyers can hold them up.

Trump actually has a sizable lead in PA, I'm not sure why it hasn't been called for Trump. He also has a slight lead in NC. He could still pull this off.

Wow - and he has a good lead in WI, too, but it still hasn't been called for him. It looks to me like he's going to win this thing.

Holy shit - Trump is now leading in all of those states that have not been called. It looks to me like he's going to win.

I had predicted he would lose, but it looks like I'm wrong again.

Biden has the lead in NV now and Fox has it colored light blue. All the others are still gray and Trump leads in all of them. He's up 700,000 votes in PA, I have no idea why they don't call it for him.

Politically neutral rant:

It's all a load of bullshit.

How come the polls are about as accurate as me talking shit hammered?
How long do these states take to declare?
How come John King says so much without actually saying anything?
If State A is too close to call then why do they incessantly talk about it for the next four hours?
Why do they announce each county instead of just waiting until all the ballots in every state are counted?
And can we please sex it up a bit? I need some fucking eye candy !

I thought I hated the state of Florida, but Pennsylvania is really dragging this out. All the analysis is either could win it. We don't know? But we're going to talk about it further. Great!

Michigan? The good news is CNN has their secretary of state on and so far she's the closest we've come to eye candy. The bad news is she says hours to come and then goes on to suggest following specific county results on their respective websites...

Finally, they've got some political spin on. One guy has just bet dinner and Virginian craft beer with the other guy if his candidate wins. I think he wants to put his craft in this guy's Virginian if you know what I mean! The other guy awkwardly bats away this advance way but doesn't say no. Filthy tease

Biden pulled ahead in both WI and MI. That would give him enough to win it now

They've now got David Axelrod on. I never thought he could look stranger, but without the mustache very odd.

What's happening in Pennsylvania... so much drama!

John King is back. I like John King but fuck he likes throwing out meaningless statements.

"This is the United States of America, counting votes is what we do!"

Thanks, John, I've been staring at a fucking screen of Wake County, North Carolina. I had no idea it was America. Of course, none of the other democratic countries count votes.

AP reporter Will Weisert says there are too many mail in ballots in Pennsylvania that have not been counted yet. Trump's lead there will be for naught, though. Biden leads in Nevada, Wisconsin, and Michigan and those three states will give him exactly 270 electoral votes which would make him the winner.

Your narrative is giving me heart palpitations, Hugh.

We can blame the Patchez brothers for the Pennsylvania lag.

I'm just pissed Jesse Ventura wasn't on the ballot. Nor Lebowski.
Okole maluna!
