Okay, I am too drunk to come anywhere but here, and find??? goodish news??? I am even too drunk to type what Our Father fixed for me, so I am still Grumpy and grumpy. (Brachy is a bitch, but WTF, no one cares about that.) Before I gave up drinking for cancer, I could hold my likker. Now, I hold it like a dribble glass. Look, though--I can type better drunk, and my use of commas is mistressful. (I will try not to use the dreaded Uni Irvine triple comma) (With a twist--golly, I love parentheses)
Anyway, Dr. P, WAKE UP! I got things to tell you.

I don't post often, but I always post drunk.
I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks.
Savage types for me, but she doesn't tell me what to say.

I am yet to contribute to this thread. Partially because I never knew the chap. Though I have read some of his posts and he seems like a decent fellow. So I thought I'd dedicate all of my drinking tonight which will encompass Johnnie Walker black label followed by a series of ales at my local. Wish you recover to full health soon!

Pali is an intense, passionate but gentle soul. Had the pleasure of 2 drunk dial calls with him and really got to know him a little bit beyond comments on the forum. I believe he is where he wants to be. He is blessed and well taken care of.

Re: Palinka?...
News from Alex:
Hi everyone.
Many apologies for my long silence. I have had an awful lot going on in my life and a few health problems that meant I had to stop sending my email updates out. I'm sending one tonight however because it appears that we are at the endgame.
I don't know if anyone else has been keeping you up to date but over the last few months but Patrick has continued his roller coaster ride and at times looked like he was going to miraculously pull through. He came out of the coma and before Xmas was lucid and talkative. There were plans afoot to transfer him to a rehabilitation unit and it seemed he had a real chance to make a substantial recovery.
He then suffered a series of fits, deteriorated, and never really came back from that.
Now finally it seems his body is giving out after his long, final battle. The doctors have decided there is nothing more to be done and have taken him off all his drugs except anti convulsants and morphine. His kidneys are failing and they expect his heart to give out in the next few hours.
He is not expected to survive the night.
Send your best thoughts to him. I'm personally still not counting him out because he's a tough and resourceful bugger and I believe it's possible hell surprise us all yet again and rally but realistically you need to know that this situation is about as bad as it gets.
I wish I could write more but I was in hospital myself today having an op on my right elbow and I'm having to type left handed so I'll have to keep it brief.
Here's to Patrick. A tough old bastard and a good friend to many.
