Palinka memorial

Post by GSG » Mon Jan 25, 2016 5:07 am

P's parents have requested no flowers at the funeral but instead would like to raise enough money for the hospital he was treated at to buy an ECG machine and ketone monitor as a lasting and useful memorial. I'm sure you'll agree that there is no more fitting tribute to him.

If you would like to contribute, please make cheques payable to Bolham Ward Fund and send to Exeter and District Funeral Service, 210 Topsham Road, Exeter EX2 6AA.

Many thanks.

That's the sort of man he will always be, isn't that correct. He requested this.

FKR, we want your epilogue on Palinka! Online!
I know you`re reading this, so take your stumble onto the internet.
The boards were his babies, we had to suffer with him and through him and now without him, make him a part of MDM boards history please.

Excellent sentiment there, young sailor.

FKR cannot be beckoned unless you say his name three times in a row, with a bottle of booze atop the stairs, and a mirror there, with a lit candle from booznik (in his iconic Laphroig glass)

That being said, here is another tune for Dr. P

May he live in non-infamy.

Famy?

Family. Yes. That's it. He is in our family.

Here's another tune, one of that speaks well of his final words.

Sláinte, to our good story-teller. A-fucking-men. See you one the other side, and we expect you to have a good pub all set up with drinks at the bar top.

My condolences. Fuck.
The cabin sits shut-down, cold-frozen and empty, dead mice in the traps, waiting for me to drink alone there in the dark.

Thank you for your kind words, and condolences to you as well, young Lady, for your own loss of that infuriating imp/ insightful, eloquent Scot:

Everytime I watch drunk Ozzy Osbourne interviews I`m reminded of skype sessions with P. Because as a non native speaker I don`t have a clue what he is talking about. Greatness was often not understood, but when it was no one had a clue

Perhaps it is because he spoke true Drunkardese in the highest form, and this language is one

I just wanted to come pay respects to the man again. Him and I only managed to sync up to skype a couple times, but he was a fascinating man (as much as I remember from those booze cruises!). I always admired his posts and his work here. Cheers to Palinka. Leave us some seats up at the bar up there in the sky. "Listen man, these stools are taken! My buddies SWEAR they just left!! I promise!"

Jesus turned water to wine, I'm sure there's a place for all of us there.

Just heard the news when I popped on to see what is what. I only met the man once but he opened his home to us drunkards as well as his bottles and tobacco. was a crazy weekend and one I will never forget. hope he is drinking with the best of them now where the booze is free and the hangovers are kind.
