A Garden Full of Weeds

Post by Badfellow »

Yarrow forever yellow
A violet in my hue,
For each a thistle blossom
The purple is renewed,
A fragrant creeping charlie
Or a dandelion crest,
A kingdom of pure botany
A phylum of true zest

Just remember, folks: every plant was once just a weed until someone decided it had some sort of use and began cultivating it. In a manner of speaking, all booze is made of weeds (especially gin).

Watch and see, someone is gonna turn this into a "what kind of plant are you?" thread.

Guarantee one of you is at least a hydrangea or a liquor orchid, or maybe a bonsai cigar fern.

Now that the genetic "toaster" editing device is complete, it is within my ability to splice cockroach DNA with the agave plant, thereby creating a strain of tequila that would-- not only ferment itself to A tasty 80+ proof- but survive a direct hit from a nuclear warhead.

Yes, there's some in my kitchen. Also interesting to note, a shot or two works wonders for people with arthritis and other chronic pain.

I prefer Lubriderm® for my skin during winter months.

I'm usually dehydrated anyways. Booze is a natural diuretic.

Datrua stramonium. Now there's a weed, a veritable pharmacopia of nature. In addition to atropine and scopolamine, it also contains the chemical compound stramonium of its namesake.

Stamonium by itself is a powerful compound capable of inducing hallucinations, delirium, heart palpitations and total insanity. Not what most people would consider a recreational experience. However, when combined in the proper ratio with the right alkaloids such as mescaline sulfate and harmaline, it becomes something greater than it's own sum, capable of sending even the most rigid of minds into a state of surreal wonder and exhilaration.

I've probably read almost every Datura trip report on Erowid. Entertaining, wild stuff.

Following that, I would never touch it, ingestion-wise (the flowers are cool though), and I would especially not combine it an MAOI like harmaline.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

I was once with a gathering around campfire, and this guy busted out a flask of "Green Dragon," so he called it.

Everclear and weed. The name is apt.

I think I’m something. Poisonous. Hydrangea is, also it changes color according to what it is fed.
