Chaplin, pure genius.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

How often did Peter Sellers watch this? And commit it to memory?oettinger wrote:Works in every century, but greed wins and kills it all. Sad.

More to the point, how many times did Sen. J. MacCarthy see it? And then refuse Chaplin re-entry to the US?Savage wrote:How often did Peter Sellers watch this? And commit it to memory?oettinger wrote:Works in every century, but greed wins and kills it all. Sad.

Tail Gunner Joe wasn't in any position to do so, wasn't on HUAC, and has been completely mis-represented and lied about by several generations of lefty 'historians' who like to forget that he was Bobby Kennedy's favorite senator.Palinka wrote:More to the point, how many times did Sen. Love that. Comedy and splatter works so well together, just like in Bad Taste and Braindead.

Ahhh...yes, "Bad Taste"...Peter "Hobbit-boy" Jackson's first film. Made back when he still had most of his hair on his scalp and could still see his feet without resorting to a mirror.
And, of course, "Meet the Feebles" (from whence oettinger gets his avatar).
N.B. Neither of these films are for the squeamish!

By way of apology, I offer F.W. Murnau's 1922 version of "Nosferatu and 1964's "Last Man on Earth"; the first film version of Richard Matheson's "I Am Legend".
