Altough I always get their names confused with each other these two shows were great and quite gritty for their respective times:

Crime Story. My favorite of the Michael Mann productions.

Police Story.

Even though they had that one big season ending kill-off, I thought that the show kept it's integrity and most of its intensity for the duration. I am a big fan of Yaphet Koto and his enormous noggin.

That guy was in that Boomarang movie with Eddy Murphy. He played an ad executive with his mind constantly in the gutter.
Anyone remember Stingray, or Riptide.
Automan was cool too. Desi Arnez Jr was the lead in that. I don't know who played the Automan part though.
Manimal is the guy who plays Austin Power's boss in that series of movies. Dude could turn into a panther, or an eagle... or was it a hawk?
Anybody remember Bigfoot and Wildboy?
Oh, and then there was that time on the Six Million Dollar Man met Bionic Bigfoot! That was cool.
I could go on about this shit all night.
