Somebody mentioned "Under the Volcano" earlier; I'm about to load it up here. Become a Finney fan in the last couple years, so seeing him drunk should be a blast.

Re: Movies with lots of drinking in them:
Has anyone mentioned 'Donovan's Reef'?
Goddamn but do John Wayne and Lee Marvin enjoy a few belts before a good punch-up
(between themselves and/or with a cadre of visiting Australian sailors)!
Lee Marvin doesn't always drink in his movies but still he's my drinking hero...more than
Bogart, more than Gleason, more than Sinatra, Dino, & Davis rolled into one.
PS: to the fellow in the MDM turban who suggested ordering whiskey and telling the barkeep
to 'leave the bottle'...it fuckin actually worked last weekend. There's this dive bar in
town, Lou's Lounge, and the old bartender turned out to be a huge fan of John Wayne & Clint Eastwood.
We ended up trading lines from The Green Berets ('But what will happen to me now?' 'Don't worry son,
I'll take care of ya') to the G, the B, and the U ('Blondie! Blondie!!!!') to Dirty Harry, Eldorado, Rio Bravo, etc., etc.
Early in the morning when I discovered the check on the bar, I found it was for a mere $15.
15 clams for 1/3 a bottle of Jameson? Oh hell yes, that's the way to drink in a bar.
Makes me almost wish I was a gunslinger in the old west...

But yes, now that I am only half-drunk I agree with you that it is a fez. And a damn fine one at that.
My apologies. And my thanks.

Well, you know...I'm a man of peace myself. Fuck it, I really am. Jus kidding in all the prev. posts.
And I say that the same waters of insanity that lap their shores crash just as heavily upon ours. Once you realize this -
you drunk, you gosh darned boozehound! - don't be surprised to find a warm glow nestling your soul. This is what
is known in some circles as Enlightenment; that is, you see the world from a pure spot. Doubt does not cut your vision.
What you think is not seen but, rather, Known. For the first time, you see the universe in a comprehendible light.
In our current society, Booze is one of the only legal means to discover this.
So! With your favorite toast, lift a shot above, and pour it down your gullet!

All of the main animated G-rated movies from 1930-2000 which were been made in the United States were full of drinking. More than half the movies were on alcohol or tobacco.

Re: Movies with lots of drinking in them:
I like brown people, and many of them drink. An indian friend of mine told me a story of how his mom was teetotal, but his dad(a non-practicing hindu or something) would rush to kill 12 beers within like the 2 hours between when he got home and his mom got home. Then he'd freshen his breath. He said she never noticed or called him out on it, and He acted exactly the same. He would have his son(my friend) throw the cans out in a local dumpster. Hilarious.
really not relevent.

P.S. I know indians aren't the same as middle-easterners or North africans, But most of them have anti-alcohol governments, so that's the connection
