Shameless

Post by Salviati »

Anyone else seen this show? Just started watching it and it is pretty damn funny. It's on Showtime. Titties in the first episode as well, can't go wrong there. Find it online. This is also my first post so cheers to all my new friends!

I used to watch the original english version, but they made too many series and I got bored, it was really good though. I saw a couple of the US ones as well and they were just as good, but had a slightly different character

I didn't know they even had a UK version, should have guessed. Will have to check that out.

I'd say it was more realistic, except I've never lived in poverty, in the US or the UK

The Redhead and i watched a few episodes of the UK version, but it didn't stick. much of the issue, i'm sure, is me having to translate 50% of what was said and not understanding 10% of it myself.

I liked the casting of Macy in the U.S. version.

I'll have to find the season finale where the doctors told him he'd have to quit drinking or he'll die. He ends up down at the pier with his kid pushing the wheel chair he was in when they released him from the hospital. Looking out at the ocean, he asks the kid for the bottle., takes a swig. Then he looks heavenward and shouts..... well watch.

I do love William H Macy, but I think he always seems like a nice guy to me, I think I only saw one or two episodes of the US version. I suppose I'll have to watch it after binge watching all the UK ones (all 130 or so)
