That Mary and Max looked so good. I will check it out, when I am not completely (well, insert rude portmanteau word here)

Anyone who would like to witness the futility and horror of war should see this, The Trench.

Re: Movies We'd Like to See Again
"The 'Burbs"*, possibly Tom Hanks' finest film, featuring Bruce Dern a whiskey guzzling, paranoid gun-nut, Carie Fisher, Corey Feldman (more or less reprising his rôle as "Edgar Frog" but with more beer and obnoxiousness) and top it off with Henry Gibson at his most comically sinister, and...well...what's not to love?
Drink Recommendations: whiskey, beer and tequila jello shots.
* Unfortunately, this is just trailer. However if you poke around on YouTube, you can find many clips but I would have to say, don't watch them, the movie has so many twists and turns that you could spoil it for yourself. Just go rent it from Netflix, BlockBuster or some other company and enjoy.
Damned good film.

Thanks Pali. I missed that one. I put it at the top of my Netflix Q.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

I do like The 'Burbs. Got the soundtrack, too. But I'm really not a nerd.

Given that today is Halloween, how about The Rocky Horrow Picture Show?

Re: Movies We'd Like to See Again
Yup Yup, indeed.
My own three cents:
The Frighteners (Peter Jackson directed, long before LOTR but you can see how he helped invent body tracking for cgi)
Lady In White (creepy without a gore, although I am in no way Squeamish, apologies to them folks of Squeamlandia)
The Others (again, creaking floorboards and squeaky door hinges and rattling doorknobs that speak of my youth-time when Uncle Friendly lived with us)
and also,
The Conjuring. Welcome back, M. Night Shamalamdingdong. That was pretty decent. Or, a pretty descent.
DRINK!

The moon is blue. Reserve your judgement until about 20-30 min in. That's when the drinking starts and David sader gets going.

Re: Movies We'd Like to See Again
Alright, I just realized today that we have enetered into the brief period after the Halloween horror movie marathons (which was mostly crap, some good films and some crappy films that are fun to watch) but before the pending, near constant barage of christmas movies. Last night, the orginal Total Recall was on. I watched most of it and man was the product placement in that gratuitous.

Re: Movies We'd Like to See Again
I'll always remember the film that alerted me to this. My Big Fat Greek Wedding had the father of the bride promoting the multiple uses of Windex. He used Windex on everything. It would even heal your soul. So this small production company got financed for a hack movie. Meh!

Fun factoid: Windex is the secret ingredient that the killer uses that kils the subjects but preserves the brains in The Man with Two Brains.
Fun Factoidoid: The aforementioned killer is played by Merv Griffin.
