There's a pretty solid scientific law of science that states taht there are no good movies adapted from video games. The closest movie that comes closest is the Resident Evil movies and these aren't really good, just chock full of Mila.

Speaking of Doom and Resident Evil... i find it odd that the amount of monsters in each of these movies is inversely proportional to the amount of monsters in the video game. Put that in you pipe and sit on it.

Nicolas Cage keeps up his tradition of making truly awful films with his latest, "Pay the Ghost". A real stinker of a movie, by all account; with even the "Boom Operator" trying to get his name removed from the credits list.

Cinema snob is pretty hit or miss sorta humor, but I had strong inkling that many of the board members would find the stuff as hilarious as I do.

Great call, Nicolas Cage and his aresnal of two "acting faces" is always good for a grab in the toilet. Steven Seagal is a renowned method actor in comparison

Patchez The Barbarian

Mixers and Ice come from the sky,
from the gods of the dry,
but Drunk is your god,
Drunk passed out in the earth
Once bums pissed his place
Patchez!
And in the darkness of blackout, they did drink
And they drank away the inmost beer
Drunk was drunk
And the bar shook
The whisky on fire struck down these fryers and they threw their bodies into vodkas,
Getting new age, our drunks got a new mix of drink on the barfield
We drunk it,
Not drunks, not drinkers, just drunkards

...tbc wow I`m drunk myself
Drink!

Highlander. Everytime I see those puppies fighting I know that Conan would love to make their crushed heads part of his super-greasy breakfast sandwich.

Christopher Lambert is the most ridiculoust persons to ever get a job, let alone make money from it...

Still a good soundtrack and evil guy.

I have to disagree/agree wtih you on Highlander. It was an incredible idea and story that was deeply flawed in its execution. It was very much an '80's movie, and the '80's weren't that great. It is actually kind of incredible that it was made and it didn't get that huge of a release. It should have been longer and it should have had more flashbacks. Not to necessarily disrespect Queen, but I think that the soundtrack would have been better if Iron Maiden, or even Dio had performed the songs. That being said, I loved the movie when I was a teen and still have affection for it. THink, though, what it could have been if initially given a bigger budget. I guess that is what the tv show was.

By the way, think on this: the Kurgen is Mr Crabs.

Good call on Maiden and DIo but I don`t think they would`ve been able to write those songs though, Freddy was a once in a generation genius. Altough they left a lot to be desired in the 80s/some stuff flat out sucked.

My older sister was in her late teens back then and she was a total Highlander fan. When we visited Scotland she had to visit that one castle!
Bigger budget yes, why not. I think after the Lord of the Rings stuff every battle looks kinda tame (CGI is leaves this as a not that fair comp). Braveheart was quite good in that regard. Remember Army of Darkness 3, hilarious these three actors running around pretending a big battle. Ok that was a B production from the get-go (it had it charmes but couldn`t stick up to the first two but prolly never intendet to do though).

Mr Crabs from Spongebob? Hmm, let me ask Mr Vodka for some intake on that question
