Let this be the thread of vintage TV available today on the web.
Here is my offering.
Sit back and strap yourself into the time machine to whisk you back to 1959 and the burgeoning Playboy brand. This is a series of clips from the first season of 'Playboy's Penthouse' full episode. This is part 1. Enjoy the time warp because you will be a penthouse guest for some real talent and hot babes. So mix yourself a drink. This came into peoples homes and gave sex education to children. The boys grew up and said, "Hell, I want to be like Hef!"

Re: Vintage TV
Nice find Lush, that is some classy TV viewing right there. Hef's suave, laid back attitude, all the stars, all the chicks, everyone sauntering around with a cocktail in their hand, that is good stuff from a different era.
I got one, this just came up the other night in conversation and I'll be damned if there aren't clips on youtube, even though this was a local show. This isn't near as classy as Hugh Hefner and the playboys girls, but in 1970 after the other three available TV channels had all played the national anthem and shut down for the night, channel 9 out of Cincinnati brought us the all night theater with Bob Shreve, sponsored by Schoenling brewery. This clip is from the beginning of the show so Bob is still lucid, but they were on from midnight to 6 AM. Usually by the third movie Bob would be overdoing it with the sponsored beverage, that is when the drunken fun began and sometimes Bob would ramble incoherently until they just cut him off and went to the movie. This is a blast from my childhood, I was glad to find clips.

Bob cannot compete with the playboy chicks but I had to add this clip with a special guest, Morganna! Remember the kissing bandit?

That made me smile, Thirsty. The stoners ruled the late nite airwaves back in then and things were more free than today. Everyone was tripping and entertainment reflected the times, like the Rowan and Martin Laugh-in.

Re: Vintage TV
I just watched part 2 of the Hefner vid and here's what i get from that 10 minutes:
1. I guess the dude is saying that " The Best is Yet to Come" has not yet been heard by anyone? First time played in public? That's great
2. Hef is a smooth motherfucker talkin to them most popular chicks for this year and last.
3. I want that kitchen of the future it's way better than i got 6o years later.
4. Yeah, Ella called and she's gonna stop by.
5. Lenny talkin about how the show will be received, what with t he drinking. He explains that he hopes that if people in the public drink in their home, that is what this show is about, and they get it.
This is awesome shit man, I'm gonna get drunk and watch them all.

This is a clip from a Frank Sinatra TV special produced and broadcast from CBS studios in Television City in the Fairfax district of L.A. sometime around 1962. Get your time warp goggles on.

Re: Vintage TV
I wanted to post for a second time from other threads over the years the youtube clips available for the classic 'Crazy Guggenheim and Joe the Bartender' comedy routines from the Jackie Gleason Show but they have all been scrubbed.
So if you saw them when I posted them on other threads a long while back, good for you. If not and you are too young to remember the show and missed the link, tough luck.
So here is a classic from the Frank Sinatra Show welcoming back from US Army service, Elvis Presley, 1960. Watch it now before it gets pulled by some copyright troll. They were bigger than life.

Re: Vintage TV
It was Feb. 27, 1975 on the Dean Martin Roasts TV series NBC episode devoted to none other than Jackie Gleason. Here the totally soused Foster Brooks does the honors.

Re: Vintage TV
Here is a classic Red Skelton routine about what TV ads would look like a year before TV made its debut. This clip is from a movie and the TV clips from the Red Skelton Show of this same routine have been scrubbed from Youtube. Copyright trolls at work keeping you safe at nite.
