Thanks for sharing that, Lush. After watching, I kept drilling down until I found this. A very young Frank Zappa on the Steve Allen show in 1963!

Zappa was fucking nuts. I love him for that. First heard him in 84 my sophomore year. The Album was Sheik Yerbouti. Twisted, weird and a whole lot of the right kind of wrong fun.

So here is some vintage German TV around 1968 during the same time American TV networks were broadcasting teen dance shows like Hullabaloo and Shindig with big name performers. Zappa and the Mothers were not on their list so they went to Germany and became very famous.

The old batman series is back in TV, been a while. Nothing like a good strong drink and couple of buddies laughing their asses off at the amount of camp.

Hans Conreid hosted this nutty but well written comedy hit series. This was '60's TV at it's best. Get a good taste of it here.

Yes, Since Adam West left us his star has been rising. This was all the rage if I recall having lived through it.

This is not vintage TV exactly but it is a cinema reaction to the impending TV boom in 1946. They promoted the fear of live TV commercials. Red Skelton is at his drunken best.

They don't make 'em like that anymore. Foster as well. On the other hand, rat packer Dean, and that Rosebud director and the Jeopardy game show host dude were the real deal, in life.

Goblets them all.

Who remembers this short lived series from early '90's? This was an excellent period piece but was cancelled for some reason in the 2nd season resulting in a plane crash final episode as the main characters are fighting to the death as the plane nose dives into oblivion. Very anti climatic but the show was great!

Yeah! Found that out and realized that's why that series flowed like music. Of course the director Michael Mann had something to do with it.

Dennis Farina rocks. And he hosted "Unsolved Mysteries" which I also loved.
