Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.

Mr. Berry's last album. It was already set to be released before he died so it's not some Record Company cash in. Cat still fucking had it.

Re: Whatcha listening to?
Thanks for that. I dig some surf/rockabilly. A word in your post reminded me of back in the mid 90's I was working in Georgia and happened to see a surf punk band called Hillbilly Frankenstein. They put on a great show but I never heard anything else from them. Another great surf band was Los Straitjackets, they had great instrumentals and put on a fun show. Ray Corvair, The Ultras, Agent Orange, The Cowslingers, all great surf/rockabilly/punk bands. Oh, and can't forget Horrorpops, another great band I haven't heard anything from in years.Patchez wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2017 1:45 amIt's no Dick Dale but it is a surf rock Frankenstien.

Also there was this one fantastic night that I will never remember from about 25 years ago, I was eating bluetip downs, smoking Indiana ditch weed and drinking Crown Royal while listening to "Carl Needs a Pill' on a continuous 4 hour loop. Good times, good times.

Oh yeah, and of course The Reverend Horton Heat is one of my all time favorites. I've seen him like 10 times and never been disappointed. Excellent live show. And The Cowslingers as well. Good shit.

The first time taht I saw the Rev was in 1990 or so and they opened for Social Distortion. That was a heck of a shindig.ThirstyDrunk wrote: ↑Sat Apr 22, 2017 1:28 pmOh yeah, and of course The Reverend Horton Heat is one of my all time favorites. Re: Whatcha listening to?
First time I saw him was at Dayton's fabulous (now defunct) Hara Arena, sometime in the early 90's, he opened for White Zombie. Great show, I was hooked. Every show after that was in small venues. The best one I ever saw was at the Aardvark Ballroom (also defunct) which held maybe 150 people. Everyone was within sneering distance of the Rev. He played for over 4 hours it was awesome. I got to chat with Jimbo for a few minutes afterward and shake his calloused bass slapping hand.Frankennietzsche wrote: ↑Fri Apr 28, 2017 5:38 pmThe first time taht I saw the Rev was in 1990 or so and they opened for Social Distortion.
